10 MINFor over twenty years, Sodagreen (also called Oaeen) has been one of Taiwan's most famous bands. Their concerts are very popular for two reasons. First, frontman Greeny Wu is famous for his sharp and funny banter. He loves to tease his fans and make jokes on stage. This funny, honest style makes audiences laugh a lot, making them a very loved band in Taiwan.
However, Sodagreen also makes very serious and beautiful music. In their 'Vivaldi Project', they made four albums to represent the four seasons. For their winter album, 'Winter Endless', they went to Berlin to record with a large German orchestra.
This album is not about jokes. Instead, it looks at sad historical events like the Holocaust. The songs use grand classical music to show deep feelings and hope. This mix of funny stage jokes and serious, beautiful music is the real magic of Sodagreen. They show that pop stars can be both funny entertainers and deep artists.
