Terms of Service

Gawa (gawa.tw, operated by Getahead Ltd., Taiwan VAT 94061161) provides English learning materials built around local Taiwan topics and graded to CEFR levels, and lets you share a lesson with your own teacher and annotate it together. Lessons are generated by an AI model and are intended as a study and class aid.

Some features require an account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for providing accurate information. Do not share your account.

The free plan can browse topics, read samples, and unlocks one free lesson each week. For paid options (monthly subscription, single unlock, level bundle) and current prices, the plans page governs.

A Taiwan VAT invoice is issued per transaction. The monthly plan is recurring; you can cancel anytime in My Materials and keep access until the current period ends.

Lessons are digital content; once unlocked or downloaded they count as delivered, the 7-day cooling-off period does not apply, and they are non-refundable after use.

The one exception is an unused charge: if a monthly subscription auto-renews (for example, an accidental resubscribe) and you did not unlock or use any lesson during that billing period, email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge and we will refund that one month to the original payment method. Lessons are for your own study and your own 1-on-1 class. You may give the share link to your teacher and download a PDF for your own use. Reselling is strictly prohibited, as is distributing or publicly reproducing the lessons outside what the system allows. To protect paid lessons, a share link binds to the first device your teacher opens it on.

You are responsible for what you write in notes; do not post unlawful or infringing content.

Do not attempt to crack, scrape, reverse-engineer or disrupt the service, or pull lessons in bulk through automation. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

Lessons are AI-generated and may contain occasional errors; they are a study aid, not professional advice. The service is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the matter in dispute.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), with the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.

We may update these terms; the date below changes when we do. We will give reasonable notice of material changes.
